The article presents the results of the assessment of changes in the sectoral structure and number of employees of small enterprises in the Russia. Authors have developed models that describe the distribution by regions of the country of specific values of the number of employees per enterprise. The development was based on information characterizing the indicators of the number of jobs replaced per enterprise in 2015-2016 on aggregates of enterprises located in each of the regions of Russia.
