Objective: This article presents the most relevant aspects regarding Innovation Management Models in organizations in order to obtain the most important variables to build an assessment tool in organizations from the productive sector.
Methods/Analysis: After a systematic literature review in specialized databases, a total of 165 variables were identified as relevant. These variables were prioritized and contextualized in organizations from the productive sector through two questionnaires for experts in innovation, innovation management and Innovation Management Models in organizations.
Findings: Within the results obtained, it is possible to observe the identification and prioritization of problems related to poor understanding on how to interpret an Innovation Management Model, as well as the absence of concepts, techniques and tools for the integration of a model and a management system of the innovation in organizations.
