IoT represents the expansion of technology in all aspects of everyday life. There are various initiatives according to the needs of the people. In this sense, visual impairment constitutes a greater difficulty for mobilization in unfamiliar environments. The obstacles present in the environments increase the risks and damage to the physical integrity of the person suffering from said disability. The use of wearable IoT technology allows the integration of different services that provide a practical and reliable solution. This work presents the design of a smart jacket that improves the mobility of people with visual disabilities. The design consists of two components of hardware and software.
