Descripción
The modeling of future scenarios including the aspects of demand, infrastructure and hydrometeorological variables in the water evaluation and planning of the Vento groundwater basin results groundbreaking. The research proposes the use of the Water Evaluation and Planning System (WEAP) with the objective of evaluating potentials and limitations for its development. 5 hydrological years are modeled and the calibration is made from the model’s existing measurements and results, which results in a NSE ratio of 0.99. The scenarios generated show WEAP’s potentials for implementing changes on the infrastructure, the demand management and the loss reduction programs.
