The objective of the article is to show the application of the industry 4.0 to the improvement of the processes of the bakery “Tu pan gourmet”. The aim is to increase the efficiency of the selection and processing of materials in the selected company and to reduce costs and sustainability in the face of the situation Public Health Emergency of International importance caused by the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2). In this case study, a food company that processes an input material for the generation of its products. Ways to improve the efficiency of material processing were proposed and tested in a digital environment. In the solution, principles of Industry 4.0 were applied generating expected results such as cost savings.
